கோயன் home

there is nothing like going back home. Most visits are often exciting when we begin our journey. The newness of the place, the culture, the people everything is facinating. But as days pass you still want to go back to your own home. Nothing like the comfort and secure about heading back. I look forward to get back and then maybe think back of my journey in a new light.

வாக்கிங் டோவ்ன் தி lane

haha i wanted it to be tamil for amma to read.. looks like the title is currently in that font. great.. with language softwares now a days. The autumn is coming to an end here in Germany. I get to see the leaves slowly shedding to become just plain branches. THe sight itself is beautiful as an indian i looked at it romantically but narayans colleague said that they look at it as teh approaching winter..

well each one to his own beauty of nature.

Foreign yatra

my first trip was so scary. i think the term for people who are scared of foreigners is called xenophobia. i was in the dutch neighbour hood walking down to the station and seeing only white dutch people i was fearful. Its almost like looking at different spiecies. well slowly i realized they are humans too and began to trust my surrounding.

I always enjoyed the organized ways the city is the transport the shops all have their timings and certainity. in india we expect anything to be available at all times. we have the cappi tapri, the chai walla 12-12noon.

with so many small trips and staying with phirengs i conclude its the individual behavior that is either bad or good. GOod people are everywhere. Trust & belief we need with people across.

germany

the nomadic traveller. I was wondering where me a small soul in the universe will travel beyond the tamil nadu border. Dad took us to MP, Jabalpur, Bangalore and back to chennai.
education took me to Pune. Marriage and academics took me to so many places around the global i am amazed. Ireland, Holland, Spain, France, USA, Germany. hmm impressive. Thank god for the widen of perspective. THe new learnings and stubborn thinking not to change some of my views.
but each time its like a first time a new experience. I always look with wonder the people, their culture and my reactions to them.
